Inspired by the scorpion fly, the mosaic has mounted eyes and fairy-like wings with marvelous markings. A fan of the summer, from May to September, it can be seen flaunting its patterned back around woody groves and patches of nettle. Hand embroidered in small batches by artisans in India.
