Ken Yeang is an architect, urban planner, ecologist and author who is best known for his signature green architecture and masterplanning. He is differentiated from other green architects by his authentic ecology-based approach, and this distinctive green verdant aesthetic of his architecture and its performance beyond conventional green rating systems. He trained at the Architectural Association, UK and received his doctorate from Cambridge University, UK in ecological design and planning. He is principal of Hamzeh & Yeang with offices in Malaysia, UK and China. He is a recipient of the Malaysian Institute of Architects Gold Medal, the Government of Malaysia's Merdeka Award, the Prince Claus Award (Netherlands) and the Architectural Society of China Liang Sicheng Award 2016.

James Steele is an architect and educator who trained at the University of Pennsylvania and received his doctorate in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California, where he has taught history and theory as well as design studio since 1991. He organized the first Foreign Studies Program for architecture students in Malaysia in 1996, administering it through its 15th and final session in 2013 and then founded a new undergraduate program in South America, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has written extensively on contemporary architecture and has been a guest critic speaker at numerous universities in the US and internationally.
