Ieoh Ming Pei was a Chinese-American architect known for combining traditional architectural principles with progressive designs based on simple geometric patterns. Some of Pei's most notable designs include the the glass and steel pyramid for the Musee du Louvre in Paris, Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, John F. Kennedy Library in Massachusetts, Dallas City Hall in Texas and the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
